Live Music for Otago Occasions
The Dunedin Quartet brings live music to special occasions across Dunedin, Otago and Southland. Founded in 1993 in Ōtepoti Dunedin as The Cantabile Quartet, it still features two original members and draws on regular players in the Dunedin Symphony Orchestra, the world's most southerly professional orchestra. Subject to availability, they offer either a classic string quartet or a variation with their oboist, flautist and saxophonist.
They regularly travel to Wānaka, Queenstown and Arrowtown, playing classical music, classic jazz and contemporary.
